Wellness Patients - Recent Chiropractic Care transferring from another Chiropractor

If you have been under Chiropractic Care with another Chiropractor and you simply wish to transfer your care to one of our doctors, then your First Visit will be a little different than a Symptom Based New Patient. You already have experience with healing through adjustments, exercise, and proper nutrition, so we can jump in where you left off! It would speed the process, if you can have your x-rays (x-ray report), MRI, and/or previous treatment notes faxed(615-494-1127) or emailed ([email protected]) to our office PRIOR to your first visit. This saves you time and money! We will review these items, along with information discovered during your frist visit consultation to determine how we can best meet your needs. We believe in meeting you where you are in this journey. Our experience and personalized, comprehensive approach, combined with your commitment to take charge of your health leads to a successful outcome.

New Chiropractic Patients - The following is a step by step guide for patients NEW to Chiropractic

Consultation

Once the paperwork has been completed, you will have a consultation with the doctor to discuss your reason for the visit, as well as potential treatment options. We believe that the best start is a clear start. We want to understand your goals and educate you about how Chiropractic can be successful.

History and Examination

The Dr will ask questions about your family, social, and health history. Previous surgeries, current medications, and daily activities are just a few of the things that the Dr will discuss with you. It is important that the Dr conduct a detailed examination to fully understand the depth of your specific issues.

X-ray Studies

X-rays are used to evaluate the health of your spine and rule out pathology. Sometimes x-rays are needed to best evaluate your specific condition. We will gladly accept RELEVANT x-rays and/or MRI's performed by another doctor/facility. However, if there are no recent x-rays, then we may require you to have them. We have in office x-ray equipment for your convenience. We do not perform x-rays on all patients. The decison is based on diagnostic necessity.

Same Day Treatment

Once finished with the examination and all appropriate studies, patients will generally be provided with their first treatment during this same visit. This may include spinal adjustments and adjunctive therapies to reduce symptoms and speed healing.

Home Instructions

Prior to leaving, patients will be given home instructions. This may include ice application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises and/or stretches.

Schedule Your Next Appointment

You will be given a convenient appointment time for your follow-up visit. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed during this time. We always consider your time and expenses when bulding your treatment plan. We don't use generalized treatment plans. Your plan and course of treatment will be as unique as you!

Educating our patients is very important to us. We want patients to ask questions and be informed. Always feel free to candidly ask the doctors anything. If you don't ask...you will not know!
